Zullini Strada

About this bike

Zullini was a brand exclusively Sold by van Herwerden in Voorburg, a dutch bike shop. It's one of the oldest existing bike shops in the Netherlands, founded in 1898. Besides selling beautiful bicycles they are also well known for their handmade (Italian) frames. Michael Boogerd even rode in his junior days a track bike from Van Herwerden.

In the 80's van Herwerden started looking for a partner to produce frames for him. Which was found in the Italian frame builder Tiziano Zullo and Gelmino Chesini. Exclusively for Van Herwerden frames were made under the brand name Zullini. The name Zullini is also a combination of these two Italian manufacturers, Zull(o) + (Ches)ini.

This bike is one of those bikes  produced by Zullo In italy.  I have Bought it from the first owner, who always maintained it very well. The whole bike is in an (nearly) perfect original and in very good condition. The only parts that I have replaced are the brakehoods. The bike is equipped with a Shimano 600  EX group. The Frame is Italian made by Zullo out of the well known Columbus SL tubes.
