about Colnago Saronni In 1982 Beppe Saronni won the Road Cyling world championships in England on a Colnago bike. To celebrate the win, and cash in on the renown of their new hero, Colnago decided to introduce a sub-brand. In 1983 they released the Sarroni bike to the world. This is one of the earlier Saronni's, made with high end Columbus SL tubing and in the typical 'Saronni red' colour. I've bought it from a former pro, that's also the reason that it has the Colnago decal's instead of the Saronni's ones. Another strange thing about this Saronni is the chromed rearstays. I have never seen this before but this is probably an extra option since it is an legit team bike. It has a complete campagnolo Super Record groupset and as an extra I equipped it with some nice Colnago pantographed parts. Enjoy the pictures..
