1976 Gazelle Champion Mondial A About About this bike I have owned a lot of Gazelle Champion Mondial's in my life, but this one is in my opinion one of the most beautiful gazelle's I worked on in the last couple of years. This colour combination is something really unique and I have never seen it before. This particular colour was only available in 1976 and is called 'gebroken wit'. Besides of that is also has the contrasting 'blue' colour which also was an extra option back in those days. Also take a look at the very rare brake cable holders, this is also something that you won't notice on any other gazelle Champion Mondial from that era. The framenumber is 3181786 which indicates 1976. I've bought the bike from Kees, he was the first owner and did really care about this bike. I haven't changed much about this bike. The brake rubbers were gone so I've replaced them. Also were the spokes very corroded, therefore I have completely rebuild the wheelset with nos spokes, laced to Super Champion Arc en Ciel rims. The frame itself is made out of reynolds 531C tubes. The brakes are Shimano Dura Ace and the headset is from the spanish manufacturer Zeus. Furthermore is the bike equiped with the best Campagnolo had to offer in those days. A complete Campagnolo 1. gen. Record group. Pay extra attention to the handlebar this is a very rare titan one.. A true masterpiece for a Gazelle collector!
